Planet Wheeler Foundation

The Planet Wheeler Foundation, a prescribed private fund under Australian tax law, was established in 2008 by Maureen and Tony Wheeler, founders of Lonely Planet Publications.

The Foundation is based in Melbourne, Australia and currently funds over 70 projects in the developing world. While we focus on the Mekong Delta, East Africa, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan, assistance is currently being provided in 25 different countries.

Our purpose, put simply, is to support practical and effective projects which make a difference in the alleviation of poverty.

Planet Wheeler can only fund projects that have Overseas Deductible Gift Recipient status under Australian law.
